Embed canvas app in Model driven application.

In our previous blog we have seen how we to create range control which can be used to provide Age value in D365 field. Today we will see how we can embed canvas app in model driven application.

First of all we will be creating one canvas app. Follow below steps.

Go to https://make.powerapps.com and select your environment.

As you can see we have selected our environment. Now click on Create ->Blank App -> select Blank canvas app and click on create.

Specify details as shown above and click on create. It will create your canvas app. 

Now design the app as per your requirement and save the app. So our app is ready. Now we will use the same app in model driven app. We will display this app on Account entity. To achieve this we will first create one column of single line text as shown below:

Now open the Account form and add 1-Tab as shown below. Name the tab as Document List and add the Document Number column.

Now select Document Number column and expand component which is available in left pane and click on plus button.

Now select canvas app and specify the details as shown below: You can get app id from canvas app's detail section.

Save the changes and publish. 

Now open any account record check the changes.

As you can see our canvas app is visible now.
