Understanding Account and Contact in D365 Sales Process.

Today we will understand what is Account and Contact Entity in Dynamics CRM.

To understand Account and Contact, consider a scenario where I have started my own business or startup named TechSatyoki. This startup is nothing but the organization.



Now we know that if any company or organization is into Sales then it must be having products.



As we have products then we should be having customers too. When we start a new business or startup, we should have thoughts for some existing customers so that we could get some idea about Sales Process. In CRM an existing customer would be a Contact or Account that is already recorded within your CRM environments.



Basically in CRM systems, the term Account is used instead of the Company or Organization and an account has one or more Contacts associated with it.

Here,

DUIAS, GraceNote and Rolls Royce are Accounts and Snehal Joshi, Malishka Gupta, Bruce Bond etc. are considered as Contacts.

Understanding Sales Process in D365.

Hello Guys, In our previous blog we have seen what is Lead and types of leads. Today we are going to understand Sales Process. Do follow us to know more about Dynamics and Power Platform. Business captures leads through advertising, marketing, trade shows, mailings etc. Whenever organization gets any new lead, Sales Person captures the information of the lead in Lead entity available in Dynamics 365. For creating lead we require only two things, Lead Name and a Topic describing the lead. Once lead creation is completed, Sales Person performs follow up activities by sending emails, appointment and phone calls to collect more information about the lead. Microsoft Dynamics 365 stores these activities in the Activities entity in the system. Leads can be qualified or disqualified. A disqualified lead indicates that the lead is not a good candidate for sales opportunities.
