Understanding Account and Contact in D365 Sales Process.

Today we will understand what is Account and Contact Entity in Dynamics CRM.

To understand Account and Contact, consider a scenario where I have started my own business or startup named TechSatyoki. This startup is nothing but the organization.



Now we know that if any company or organization is into Sales then it must be having products.



As we have products then we should be having customers too. When we start a new business or startup, we should have thoughts for some existing customers so that we could get some idea about Sales Process. In CRM an existing customer would be a Contact or Account that is already recorded within your CRM environments.



Basically in CRM systems, the term Account is used instead of the Company or Organization and an account has one or more Contacts associated with it.

Here,

DUIAS, GraceNote and Rolls Royce are Accounts and Snehal Joshi, Malishka Gupta, Bruce Bond etc. are considered as Contacts.
