Qualifying and Disqualifying Leads in D365.

Hello Guys,

In our previous blog we understood what is Sales Life cycle and how it works. Today we are going to see how to create leads in Dynamics 365 and how to qualifying and disqualifying leads.

Do follow us to know more about Dynamics and Power Platform. Also if you like our blog then please comment and share this blog with your friends.

Consider a scenario where I am travelling by plane to visit Pune and i met two persons named Achint Gupta and Rishu Gupta. These two persons shared their contacts with me. So these two gonna be leads for me.

In the sales module, select Leads and click on New. In the Topic : Interested in Product-Send more information. Specify details like Name, Job Title, Company details as shown below.

In the Activities, click on Add Phone call.

Subject : Call Regarding confirmation.

Direction : Incoming.

Same way create lead record for Rishu Gupta.

Now suppose Achint Gupta called me and he changed his mind not to proceed then Ravish Gupta will be disqualify.

So click on Disqualify and select No longer interested. Once Lead will be disqualified, it wont be visible in your grid. You need to reactivate it.

Now suppose Rishu Gupta called me and he is ready to proceed then he is qualified lead. So we will be clicking on Qualify. Once Lead will be qualified, it will be added to your Account, Contact and Opportunities also you will notice that process bar has been changed stages from qualify to develop.

So now we are in opportunities area. Fill up below details and click on Close as Won.

Budget Amount : 200000

In Customer Need : They don't have this service.

Identify Stackholders : Completed.

Once opportunity is won then you can't enter more fields or edit it. If you want to enter some additional information then you need to reopen opportunity.

Hope it helps...
