Set icon to your entity in UCI view in Dynamics 365

 Hello Guys,

In my previous blog we have seen how we can use JavaScript with views. Today we will see how to set icons for your entity in UCI App. But before if you are new to our blog then do follow us to know more about Dynamics and Power Platform. As you can see in above picture, we have various entity in Sales app. If you notice Employee and Department, these both entities are custom entity and they have same icons which was provided by system itself. We want to change this icons.

Navigate to Settings -> Solutions ->Open Solution in which you have this entities. For demonstration purpose we will be changing icons of Employee Entity only.



Select Employee entity and click on Update icons. This will open below window. 



Here we need to specify icons. For time being i have downloaded two icons. one is 16x16 and second one is 32x32 and i have uploaded it in solution as web resource of PNG Type. Once you specify the icons in Web Client tab, Select UCI Tab and specify icons here too.



Save Changes and publish the customization.Now refresh the Sales App again and you will see the changes.
